Confused!

Hi everyone,

I need a bit of help. I have some fertility issues, endo and pcos and I have some other health issues.

We’ve been trying for around 11 months now, same thing happens - period is like 5 days late, test - negative and period comes a few days later. Due to the endo my periods are all over the place anyways, but I usually get a feel for when it’s coming.

This month I’ve had little to no PMS symptoms which is odd for me, but I’ve had a lot of acid reflux, feeling incredibly sick and being so so so tired. I tested at 11DPO and saw the absolute faintest of lines. Tested again today at around 15DPO - same thing very very faint line. But I would’ve usually expected to come on my period by now. The line isn’t much darker than it was at 11DPO, but similarly I’ve had no bleeding / signs of bleeding which I usually get by now.

All the past months where I’ve tested and then got my period, I’ve seen absolutely nothing on the test, literally nothing at all.

Basically my question is..do I wait and see if I get my period? Do I test again in a few days? Do I give up?

Im just feeling so utterly defeated and like a complete failure cause I can’t seem to do the one thing we really want. Apologies for long post I’m just so upset and feeling like any ounce of possibility this month is being crushed because it’s not getting much darker.

Can anyone offer some gentle advice? Please be kind and don’t judge, I’m struggling over here x

I don't think you have any choice but to hang on and see 👍😍 But look, you've got positive tests! That's really good news! Even if faint. Are you testing with First Response, as i think they're more sensitive (the type of test you use really impacts how dark the lines might be, as the lines measure HCG and some tests can measure a lower amount than others). Why not wait a bit longer and also try one of the digital ones? I get that you're worried but it all sounds pretty good to me so far 🎉🎊

I’m so used to getting disappointed by now, I don’t know what to do! Yeah I’m testing with the First Response Early ones. I tested with a strip test for comparison and I don’t think anything showed up apart from a very faint shadow, but definitely not what was showing on the first response. It was so faint on the First Response so I didn’t know whether it was right or not but I was kind of working on the basis that something must be there for it detect the HCG right? Absolutely... it would be a stark white test if this month hadn't worked. A line is a line🙏 It means HCG is detected, hence pregnant 😘 Try to give it a few more days and test again, but don't worry too much right now about how strong the line is. It's still early days. What matters is, it's there xx
