I found out earlier this week at my 7+3 scan that we likely had a chemical pregnancy. At the time I was having slight brown on wipe but told before that’s ok as it’s old blood. I then stopped all medication - prognova, oestrogen patches and progesterone pessaries. When should I expect my horrible bleed? So far I have only had the brown continue with a few specks of red. On my failed fet and following egg collection I have always had a massive clot come away (sorry if tmi) and bright red bleeding. What have been others experience? Will it take time as I was on drugs for so long? Or because it’s all brown does that say the lining was not in good shape?

Sorry for your loss. I had two - one I had no symptoms anything was wrong, the second I spotted brown. Both times I got my bleed around 2-3 days after coming off the meds, but for one I had to wait quite a while for my HCG to go to 0 before I was told to stop meds in the first place. Neither bleed was especially bad for me (but my periods are quite heavy and long naturally). I think for some women it can take a bit longer to come on and depends if there are any complications x
Why do they say it was a chemical pregnancy? Please get your HCG levels checked, it could be an ectopic, which is dangerous. Sorry for your loss... I had a ruptured ectopic following my second IVF cycle, my HCG levels were doubling but I had bleeding and intermittent pain. Good luck with your journey ❤️
