So I found out that I have had a chemical pregnancy. Will be further confirmed on Monday. For those of you ladies who have also had one, how long until your bleed? I have stopped my pessaries and tablets and I would quite like my body to get back to normal now 🤞🏻 Good luck to all of those just starting their tww! Xxx

Hey, sorry to hear this. I didn’t get a bleed until around 7 days after stopping meds, little bit of spotting day 5ish. I will be thinking of you. Xx

So Sorry to hear about your chemical I had one in July and know the devastation you must be feeling. With regard to bleeding mine started within 4 days, I know everyone is different but mine was heavy, lots of clots and cramps. But fast forward 2 months and we are now in a better head space and hopefully looking forward to our next transfer next month. Having a chemical is so difficult to deal with but you'll get through it, we are made of strong stuff! Thinking of you x

Thanks for the reply. It’s such an awful feeling!! So glad to hear that you’re in a better space now. Did you have quite severe cramping in the 4 days leading up to the bleed? Xxx

Not much cramping leading up to it but a lot when it actually came, had a hot water bottle permanently placed on my stomach which helped a lot! Hope it appears soon for you, all the very best to you and here if you ever want a chat xxx

I’m sorry you’re going through this it’s awful.

With my chemical pregnancy I started spotting bright red discharge the day after the positive test , the next day it turned into fresh blood like a period, then into huge blood clots. It lasted 3 days in total. The progesterone pessaries didn’t stop the bleeding. Everyone’s experience will be different tho.I had to then cruelly wait for what would’ve been my 6 week scan to be told what we knew already we lost our baby. My period arrived exactly 28 days from the completion of my miscarriage.

Happily I can say I’m 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow early days but happy. I hope that gives u some hope that (so far) history hasn’t repeated itself again ( we’ve got further than last time) & just because you had a chemical pregnancy doesn’t mean you will again.

You will get through this & come back fighting. 💪🏻Sending you lots of hugs & wishing you the best.xoxo

Sorry to hear about your loss! :( I'm glad in spite of the grief you choose to look forward already and want your body to get back to normal with a spark of optimism towards further TTCs... I wish you luck for that. About how long will you bleed... should be around 2-5 days. The chemicals are more like a heavy AF hard to tell the difference if you didn't spot the BFP right on time. The blood test will confirm that anyway though... I hope you have the emotional strength to stay level-headed throughout the test and stuff.

Sorry to hear this. It’s an awful place to be at the moment but you’ll get through it. With mine, I started bleeding the day after I came off the meds (which was about 16 or 17 days post transfer). Hopefully you get yours soon. Look after yourself .

I just experienced this too. Had very very faint positive on Thursday (OTD, 12dp5dt), then negative on Friday so stopped pessaries. Today, Sunday, AF arrived. It's very upsetting.
