FET: anyone done Buselerin injections from day 1?

Hi all, wondering if anyone has gone through a FET with buselerin injection but started those at day 1 of the period together with estrogen tablets? Not at day 21 start?

So I have had 2 frozen transfers to date, first BFN, 2nd BFP but turned into a chemical pregnancy. Both done with estrogen tablets and patches followed by 5 days progesteron before transfer. But the specialist has mentioned for the next FET and our last frosty to also use buselerin injections alongside estrogen tablets from day 1 of my period. Yet online all I can find is a protocol for FET with buselerin where you start at day 21 of the cycle for 14 days, then 14 days of added estrogen before starting progesteron if the lining is good. And just confused why they are adding this and also I had my hopes up that we can start on day 1 of the next period, not day 21 after that which almost will delay the whole transfer with a full month. Just want to plan things and knowing when the next 2WW will be.

Anyone else that has gone through a day 1 start FET with estrogen and buselerin?

Best people to ask is your Dr/nurse at the clinic - they will be able to explain why they are using the buserelin from day 1 of your cycleGood luck with your treatment

Hi Janet, I did ask and they just said ‘to try something different and for your body to be completely shut down in terms of my own hormones’ but it still isn’t something I have heard off a lot so just wondered if other people have used this protocol? And I thought the estrogen already stops your own body from producing anything as my ovaries were all calm last time? Hence my query.

Every protocol is unique and tailored for each patients- dependant on their history .results etc - your Dr must think this is the one most suitable for youJanet

How funny, I’ve just posted a question that’s basically the same as yours! We had 4 failed frozen transfers last year and I spoke to my consultant this week and he has said to use Buserelin from start of cycle that we will transfer in. He also said to shut off my natural cycle and for everything to be controlled by the meds. When will you be starting? My period varies a bit but I’m probably going to start around 24/25/26 January with a transfer about three weeks later. Let’s keep in touch and see how we get on with this new way of doing things xxx

Sorry to hear about the 4 failed transfers 😥 but very interesting about the protocol and yes let’s keep in touch! I think I will be slightly behind you as I literally just started my bleed now from my last transfer that was a chemical pregnancy after stopping the meds. So will have to wait for my next period to start and same here with irregular cycles that could be anywhere in the 1st or 2nd week of Feb to start the next cycle with transfer likely early March I reckon… Let’s hope this will be our successful round!
