Has anyone ever re-tested embryos which came back as abnormal and had a different result?
I have 2 abnormals frozen at the moment which I can’t bring myself to discard without double checking…I’ve read articles where people have done this and got a different result but just wondered how likely it is? As if this can be wrong then so can the normal result I suppose.
The clinic say it would be a waste to re-test as to be classed as aneuploid they have been found to have 80% abnormal cells, but if only a few cells have been taken I don’t understand how they can know what 80% of them are? I’m probably just clutching at straws but as I only have one normal and 2 abnormal embryos I would hate to throw them away without being completely sure they would never be viable. Has anyone done this or just trusted the first result?

So I have never retested - have done many ivf cycles and due to recurrent miscarriage found out I needed to do PGD testing- first cycle all 3 ‘abnormal’ and discarded and second cycle of the 6 that went off for testing 2 came back normal- I completely understand you wanting. To testers I asked
My husband same thing- surely there’s scope for error … I’ve even read that sometime the abnormal ones ‘sort themselves out’ and can become healthy babies…. It’s such a tough one
