I have low AMH and was not due to qualify for IVF on NHS but after second load of bloods my level went up so they agreed to push us forward for IVF which was a big relief.
I was just wondering what people’s experience of IVF was and time scales etc? We’ve been told we will hear from the clinic (which is a private one but accepts NHS patients) hopefully by end of January. Just wondering what others time scales were and process?

My experience with the clinic was quick once we were accepted. I think they appreciated my age and the need to get it done. They were very well organised but I guess it depends on clinic to clinic. Good news for you and good luck!
We were approved for NHS funding - our clinic is both private and NHS. We had other stuff done first as I needed surgery, so I won’t count that. But officially we were on the IVF waiting list from early April 2020 (so once we were ready, it was mid pandemic-so clinic had to close during first lockdown to help frontline). I had my baseline uss early September 2020 and needed repeat bloods due to long wait.. first nurse consultation early October 2020, but we just missed my October cycle, so started IVF on second day of my cycle in November 2020. Normally waiting times are not that long our clinic said, but they did not reopen until June 2020 I think it was - so felt they did quite well. Normal waiting times for our clinic pre pandemic was 6 weeks.

Ps. Good to check prior while you wait - that you are on Folic Acid, Vitamin D supplement, good hydration, bit active, healthy, but balanced lifestyle 😉 And to ensure you are up to date with your smear! And perhaps recent dental check up too - as dental health is important too 😇🥰

Did they explain why your AMH level could of gone up? If you don’t mind saying, what was it before and after? I have low AMH but had 10 follicles which surprised then at my base scan. I’m about to sign on the dotted line to do n egg collection and freeze some eggs but have had a doubt about my levels! (I’m single and too old for help from NHS)

No they didn’t explain. Im 27 and my first AMH bloods were 5, then around 6-7 weeks later it came out at 7. So not much higher but was just enough to qualify for nhs funded ivf. I researched online and started to take DHEA, vitamin D and coq10 so i dont know whether this made a difference as theres no scientific evidence to back it. My consultant said that sometimes levels can fluctuate month to month slightly hence why he wanted to check it again.

January sounds positive, I think it was a few months before we got started after all paperwork etc. we had a few delays after we had got started but that’s another story. Take folate, vitamin d (higher dose) and ubiquinol from now x

I also have low AMH and the NHS wouldn't except me for IVF. we've gone private and they do get you batched in really quickly. it depends on you length of protocol and where you are in your cycle. Make sure your kind to yourself during rhe process. its such a whirlwind and a asult on you physically and emotionally. wishing you good luck xx
