Nurse planning appointment

So the day has finally come and we will be having our appointment in a few hours time. For those who saw my post last week I have tried to keep a check on my anxiety but todays the day 😑 going for a run shortly which will help but doesn’t stop the feelings of dread and uncertainty. Not expecting great things as I’m being referred to gynae again and colorectal for worsening endometriosis symptoms. Preparing myself for them to say hold off until your seen which could be whenever right now in the NHS. Does anyone know how much approximately a private consult costs with private gynae?

Hi Daisy0909 i hope your appointment today goes well. I’ve seen a gynae privately a couple of years ago and the consult was £175 however she just referred me back to the nhs as I wasn’t having private treatment.

In terms of current waiting times I was referred for ivf in the November 2020, had tests in February 2021 seen by or consultant in April 2021 and then had my op to remove some endo and my tube in August 2021 so it was a fast turn around considering COVID. I hope you get your appointment soon and can start the process.

Good luck! Xx

Hi, thanks for replying, it was helpful to read your reply, have you undergone fertility treatment yet?Our nurse planning appointment is for our 2nd frozen embryo transfer which we were hoping to do in January but I think they will recommend delaying it so that I can see gynae.

We had a loss in August and my periods have been so heavy and painful since, passing huge clots and rectal symptoms have increased. I’m just debating what to do, my GP is referring me to general gynae and colorectal but want to try and speed up the process as I’m 36, I have 3 x embryos in the freezer and this will be our last transfer on the NHS. X

Yes we had our first fresh transfer that sadly ended in miscarriage. We are looking to meet with the embryologist in January to discuss our FET. Hopefully the delay should not be too long as they should take into account your fertility and age. I was 27 when ivf first consult took place but they were really fast with me.

I’m sorry about your loss. See if your clinic can speed this up if possible as they may be able to x
