COQ10 - improvement in quantity?

Afternoon all, so we're currently on day 7 of stims for our 4th and final cycle with my eggs. After this we are heading for Donor eggs.

I have tried to stay emotionally detached from this cycle because we know that there is very little success rate expected for this but........

I had my first appointment yesterday with the dildo cam & there seemed to be way more follicles than expected and has been in previous cycles. I mean there were loads - the nurse was even questioning the medication I was on.

Now I know that Coq10 is supposed to improve quality but has anyone had an improvement in quantity too?

2nd scan is tomorrow morning so I'm just waiting for them to tell me it was all a big mistake!!!

Good luck to anyone else currently in stims just now x

Hi lorraine. Can I ask for how long you’re using it? And how many per day? I heard lots of good thing about CoQ10! Do you do FET? I might need stims for mine. Hope everything goes well with your scan tomorrow, good luck xx

I started using it in January - I went for the ubiquonol version as its supposed to absorb better into the body. Unfortunately through the previousb3 cycles we've only once got to transfer and even then there was nothing to freeze so we've had to stim each time. x

Ah sorry to hear that, I’m new to stim so I thought it’s only for frozen one🙈🤦🏻‍♀️ All the best for tomorrow and your cycle xx

Hi Lorraine - I’ve heard about coq10 (ubiquinol) improving quality but not quantity. It would be very interesting if that were the case! Fingers crossed for your scan! xx

How did your egg collection go Lorraine ? X

They got 5 eggs, 4 of which they were able to inject but only 3 fertilised overnight. They gave us the option of having a 3 day transfer but we've decided to go for the 5 so back in on Sunday. I would rather know on Sunday if there was anything left So I can deal with it rather than waiting another week to find out.

Collection itself went ok - they had a couple of issues getting to the left ovary but that's nothing unusual for me!!!

Thanks for asking xxx

How are you getting on? x

Still a good result & good you have made your decision about day 5. I hope it goes well for you! I’m ok got my period this month so that’s always a disappointment. I’m over the 2 year mark now so hope is fading a wee bit. Other than low amh I’m not sure what’s wrong , it’s hard . My mum is also very I’ll so a lot of weight on my shoulders but trying to stay strong . Good luck for Sunday x
