Hi there, yes I am on Prednisolone 4 tablets a day (tot 20mg) since transfer and 2 tablets prior (from day 6 of menstrual cycle). It has worked for me. I have also done intralipids and Clexane this time. Good luck! X

Yup, I took 25mg and now have a 5 month old baby boy, I hope you're just as lucky xx

Steroids were the only thing that finally helped me get pregnant after SO many failed transfers and early miscarriages.

Yes, 30 mg starting two days before transfer and when they saw the heartbeat, I started reducing them slowly. I am now 16.5 weeks, after over 4 years of infertility and recurrent miscarriages (5), including losing a baby at 17.5 weeks. I am also on hydroxychloroquine and heparin. Good luck! Xx

Hi, which heparin do you use? I've heard of Fragmin and Clexane and wondering which is better? xx

Yes after 5 miscarriages and 1 failed FET I took 20mg prednisolone until 12 weeks and I'm now 35 weeks 😊

Oh wow! Congratulations! Yeah I heard this works. Did you continuously take prednisone 20mg on a daily basis ? Did you increase the dose gradually? Did you have high NK ?

So I took the 20mg straight away from BFP (normally they would advise prior to transfer but the clinic guidelines for covid only changed after my BFP). I came off it gradually reducing by 5mg every 3 days. I had a high Th1:Th2 ratio (T helper cells). I had the uterine NK cell biopsies with one coming back high and one normal so also had an endometrial scratch as this has been shown to help borderline results.

Hi, I’m on my two week wait, day 7.... not feeling anything. Did you? Just wondering if the steroids mask symptoms. I know this is a silly question because everyone s is different xx just going nut x

Hanj10 profile image
Hanj10 in reply toJoanna-Arabella1984

I had fairly heavy bleeding and cramping on day 7 and thought it was all over but tested day 9 and got a strong bfp. Don’t think the steroids would mask anything but I didn’t start them til after my bfp. Good luck 🤞

Thank you fir sharing ! Hopefully I’ll get the same result! I did have mild cramping yesterday but i know the progesterone can cause that x last time I got pregnant (and miscarriaged) by booms got bigger, but they have changed. Gawd I hate this 🤪🤪🤪🤪

Hi I am desperate ,

Why did you take steroid ? Do you suffer from autoimmune condition?

Did you have rashes just after the transfer?

Is this something all the fertility clinics offer?

Thanks , I can’t stop crying . 😪

I’m about to take them for natural killer cells! Praying it works . I’ve had lots of tests! Get them to run tests! Sending you love x

I’m having blood test next week and I might have a uterus one biopsy soon but I ain’t sure of this yet. I will try the steroids as this is my last option available. I have tried everything else. Who recommend the steroids ? Was it your doctor? Which type and when Do you start ?

Hi, I have had 3 miscarriages and 1 failed embryo implantation (both pgs tested embryos). My clinic ran all tests. Everything is clear but I have high natural killer cells. This time I’m on steroids, same ones as everyone else, 20mg , I’ve had a scratch ivig infusion snd neupogen. Praying it works. I’m also on a blood thinner. They also found I have the mthfr gene so I’m now on 5mg folate. I’m sure your clinic will run all the tests. X

I don’t have an autoimmune disease no, however my mother does and my husband’s sister too. We had pot genetical testing and we are both kir Aa. Why were you crying ?

Hello. I take steriods too. 25mg for the NK cells. Started on day 10 of frozen cycle. Also use inhixia for blood thinning and intralipids. Not sure if it will work - 8 days into the 2WW. Not feeling hopeful but then I am the queen of negatives! I hope the ladies have put your mind rest. It can work… sending you love

I am hopeful it will work! I heard of many ladies on immunosuppressants such as medrol or prograf or prednisone and they succeeded. I keep everything crossed for you! Did you have a high number of NK cells? Did you check it out in a blood test or did uk have a uterine biopsy ?

Thank you.. I am so emotional I think I am going to cry..Just the blood test. Is the treatment different if it’s biospy vs blood test?

Thinking of you! I’m in the same position now . Feeling really emotional. Looking for signs (which aren’t there) and only 5 days in

leo1980 in reply toJoanna-Arabella1984

Girls I was a negative. Which I expected. I was prescribed the steroids for the nk cells. So diagnosised first before it was dispensed.

I’m sorry to hear that! I feel like mine will be the same. You just know don’t you. This is our third attempt. I got pregnant last time but miscarried. Hoping that all the steroids and ivig would make a difference. I hope you’re ok!! When can you try again? Big hugs x

I've asked my clinic about taking steroids but they've said due to covid protocols they aren't allowed unless there was a clinical reason. (they don't test for NK cells). I'm wondering if you added the steroid in just because it might help, or if you'd found a reason first why it might???!

Emineasca profile image
Emineasca in reply toLSandJ

I have KIR AA and my husband has the same. Considering the new covid variant, I am sure my doctor will also refuse
