I am on day 2 of taking prognova in preparation for my frozen transfer and I keep feeling really sick. I am struggling in my university lecture.
Did anyone else get this? I feel so sick 😷

Yep - I have posted a lot about the side effects mainly because I'm still grumpy about how ill I felt on them (and this is compared with pretty bad morning sickness) and the clinic didn't warn me. I was nauseous pretty much straight away from taking them on my FET, dizzy, room spins, brain fog... - I really struggled to work even remotely as I couldn't concentrate on video calls (was also worried about having to run out on presentations to be sick). I told the clinic at my first scan and the nurse said they were 'evil' meds (this particular nurse is one I called the 'nurse of doom' for her helpful comments like that, but I kind of had to agree with her on this assessment). It did get much better when they reduced the dose by half (turns out I was on too much for my response to oestrogen) and I started progesterone. I'd had oestrogen in a fresh round before and I didn't react like that but the clinic said it can vary from cycle to cycle and also on the type and amount you're on. Also some women are fine on them so it's very individual.
Maybe check with your clinic if you're on the right dose at your next scan if it hasn't improved (sometimes your body gets used to them) or if you can manage it, wait for the progesterone and see if that helps.
It's no fun though x
This medication can cause you to feel sick - try to eat little and often , drink plenty of fluidsHope you feel better soon if not let the clinic know just as the 1st post suggested

Yes, I had this. Never had it in any other cycle, but did pass after a week, maybe 2.
I didn’t have prognova, but had the same reaction on another oestrogen tablet. Mine got better when I started to take progesterone, things sort of evened out. Best of luck. Xx
Hi, I had this on a few rounds and what I did to help it was take them in the evening so that I could lie down after taking them. I took all the tablets at once. If your clinic has you taking them spaced out through the day check that’s okay first but mine had you taking them all together and said as long as same time roughly each day it didn’t matter what time of day. The round that worked was a frozen round so I had to continue them for weeks and I also found I had to seperatevthem from my multivitamin as well as that was also causing nausea, but by week 7-8 everything was causing me to be sick anyway so it was a case of trying to keep them down. Good luck xx
My clinic always had me take them at night so you wouldn’t notice any side effects like sickness /hot flushes. For my DD and this pregnancy (currently 34 wks) I took all 4 tablets at night before bed until 12 weeks! So defo ask your clinic if you can take them at night instead Good luck 👍🏼
Yes I did, my vision was also temporarily affected - both of which were side effects
Having with food and spreading equally across the day helped abit when taking high doses 3 times per day, lots of water and rest but some days were worse than others.Goodluck!x
