Had anyone ever had a drink the first day of the oestrogen?

Does it have an effect. The clinic advise no drink but what's the reason?

Are you doing an FET? I’ve had the odd glass of wine before a frozen transfer and I personally don’t think it’s going to do any harm. I wouldn’t go out on the piss but you’re not pregnant yet, your embryo is already made and safely stored, I don’t think it would do any harm 🤷🏼‍♀️ I had a glass of wine to calm my nerves the night before my transfer which resulted in my daughter 😊 xx

I’m doing a FET and will be having the odd drink. Not more than one at a time but then I’m a massive lightweight these days anyway 😂

I have certainly had a glass or two while on estrogen. If it's for a FET I can't see the harm 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don't think it interacts with the drug if that's the concern. I'm not sure a massive night out is advised though 😁

I’m not sure when you take oestrogen as I had a natural FET but my last and most successful I had my husbands surprise 30th a week before my transfer and lets just say I enjoyed myself! I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant with twins.

I’ve been trying to conceive for over 3 years and have tried reducing alcohol and cutting it completely for majority of the time and throughout our previous ivf rounds, this time I let loose as and thought he only turns 30 once.

I imagine a few drinks won’t make a difference for you but as I said I don’t know anything about the oestrogen as not used it before. Perhaps ask the clinic why their recommendation is to have none! Good luck x
