Spotting during TWW after FET!!

Hi ladies, so I’m currently 8dp5dt and have been spotting consistently since 4dpt. So I have been frantically researching (Standard 🙈) and I’m worried I’m only reading the success stories and building my how’s up. I’ve also had mild dull cramps like AF is about to start in my lower back and front. If anyone is reading this and has had a similar experience could you please comment, wether the outcome was good or bad? I feel I’m building myself up instead of being realistic 🥺 thanks ladies 😘

Hi kgee, the tww is such a nightmare! I had this and googled everything! Reading the same ivf posts from 10 years ago over and over 🙈 on my first round I spotted at 7dp5dt and it gradually got worse and unfortunately this was a bfn. On my successful round - I'm currently 19 weeks I spotted at about 15dp5dt for 5 days.

I had it when it was a bfn and a bfp but the bfp was a bit later. However I have seen success stories with ladies spotting earlier. Fingers crossed for you and I hope you get your bfp! X

Thanks so much for your reply and massive congrats on your bfp 😊! I had a chemical with my first transfer in June and had no spotting from that and this is my first FET.

Just messes with your head doesn’t it. I know I’m reading posts on some sights from 2008 🙈. Thanks again and congrats 😘

Sorry to hear about your chemical! Had one in Feb on 1st FET. So hard. Thank you! If the spotting isn't getting worse and not going into full bleeding that sounds like could be a good thing. With my bfn my spotting went heavier within a few days. Fingers crossed for you! X

🥺 sorry to you too. Suppose that’s what’s giving me my only bit of hope, it’s been very consistent and not got any heavier, it’s just constantly there 😩. Thanks lovely 😊 enjoy your pregnancy

It could be the drugs causing the spotting, it’s could also be implantation bleeding around now. Especially with the cramps. It’s really difficult to know. Try and keep calm. You can always do an early test. Just remember if you took the HCG trigger to make sure you’ve left it a week since as it can give false positives

Thank you 😊 . Could the hormones still affect it if I’m not taking the progesterone vaginally? (The back…TMI ha! )

I know I’m so torn about testing early as last time it made me worse 🙈. No trigger shot as it’s a FET so if my anxiety gets worse It can’t do no harm as I’m stressed either way 😩.

Thanks again for your reply x

Yes I think it still could be causing it. I know what you mean I made it worse by doing the test early on my first FET that didn’t work. FYI on my second FET I did a naturally modified cycle which means you do a trigger… so that’s why was asking as you might have ☺️ And the naturally modified cycle worked for me. Horses for courses I think! Yeah I think the progesterone could still be causing it- it’s a side effect of the drug although as you mention I think some people have sensitive vaginas that can cause spotting. Is it worth getting reassurance from your fertility clinic?

It’s torture isn’t it 😩. Ahh right I didn’t know you did a trigger with a natural fet. There’s so much to it isn’t there.

That’s good to know about it affecting regardless of how it’s administered and I suppose we are just pumped with hormones that will have some side affects.

Waiting on a call back from the clinic now . See what they say! 🤞🏼

Thanks and huge congratulations on finally getting your positive ❤️

Ahh thank you! I decided my body didn’t like the oestrogen but I think the natural modified was just very good timing as well and I changed a few other things. According to the doctors there’s no difference in statistics (thus far) in a medicated or naturally modified. So a personal choice. But yep you’re being pumped with hormones anyway and I’ve definitely heard of positive cases where spotting was involved. In fact spotting in early pregnancy is very common too… so fingers crossed all is well 🤞🤞🤞
