I'm currently going through my first cycle of IVF and wanted to know if anyone has experienced endometrial cavity fluid during the process?
I've done some research and it appears the stim medication can cause this. I have been told by my clinic there will be no transfer with any fluid inside the uterus! Also, if it does not rectify, I'd have to go back to my GP to get this investigated. Yet, from my research, it suggests the fluid can be aspirated during egg collection but I know my clinic will not do this.
Any thoughts or experience of this is much appreciated.
I am on a short protocal x

Afraid I haven't come across this one personally Sophsta but hopefully someone here has and can offer advice🤞 I can completely understand why you're worried... IVF throws so many things at us! 😣 xx
Hi there. I have had fluid in my uterus during this FET cycle. I had it last week and went back for a scan today and it was no longer there. They'll check again before I start progesterone and if it's still not there it seems like they'll go ahead. I don't know if it's wise to go on but they seem ok with it once it's clear from the uterus which at the moment it seems to have. They said it can be reabsorbed and didn't give me an idea of what could have caused it (ostregen meds maybe) but if its any reassurance it can go by itself! X
Thank you for sharing this with me. I really hope this does clear up by itself, I am convinced it's from the meds and I have now stopped taking any meds x
Same as the previous reply, I didn't have this on either fresh rounds but on my FET they said I had some fluid - they didn't seem remotely bothered and it went by the time of transfer. I also had uneven lining for the first time on the FET (too thick in one area). Apparently it may have been due too much oestrogen and when I reduced that it all resolved itself within a few days. Best of luck!
Hi Sophsta. This could just resolve itself and disappear, fingers crossed. I would have thought they would offer to drain it if it persists. Good luck! Diane
