FET following mild OHSS - timescales and what to expect?

Sorry for the super simple question, but I'm struggling to find consistent advice and don't want to bother my clinic at this stage.

I had egg retrieval earlier this week. I've been advised to freeze as I had a lot collected and am showing mild symptoms of OHSS.

I was advised to undergo a withdrawal bleed and then another period and then an FET would be organised after that.

I just wondered if anyone could advise on timescales, I'm keen to make the most of the time I have before the transfer but also want to make sure the diary/work is pretty freed up around that time.

I was advised I'd have a withdrawal bleed in 7/14 days and presumably my next period will be 28 days approx after that, assuming treatment hasn't made me irregular?! At what point following my period will they likely transfer? Is there a particular cycle day? Also, in a natural FET are any drugs used and if so when/what?

I'm a newbie at all this so thanks for bearing with me!

I haven’t had a FET before but I asked exactly the same re timelines of my clinic recently - think they said around 6 weeks from date of egg collection (but my cycle is 32 days). So much luck!X

Hi Bookbroad. Well your little embies are stored safely untill ready to transfer. You need to have a period that is "normal" to you, following your withdrawal bleed, then they can do a transfer nest period after that. make sure you drink some extra water to help settle your ovaries down.
