Hello lovely people. I just joined this group. Loo king for some advice about fertility and IVF. I have got a lots of questions please.

1) Has anyone been referred to Reproductive Medicine Clinic at Guy's hospital London ?

2) Has anyone been referred to Assisted Conception Unit at Guy's Hospital?

3) if yes how long did it take to to start IVF?

We have been referred by our GP to Reproductive Medicine Clinic and ACU at Guy's Hospital London. The Clinical Fellow at Reproductive Medicine Clinic at our first appointment was very negative about everything including that my fertility and even NHS funding. Saying that I have got low ovarian reserve and NHS might not fund our IVF treatments. Me and my husband were very shocked and even my periods are late now due to stress it caused.

Does anyone know what are the criterias for NHS funding? I heard that AMH has to be now below 2.5 and and you must have 5-6 Follicles 3 cycles in a row????? If I am not wrong.

Please anyone let me know if someone is getting treatment at RMC and ACU at Guy's Hospital. I am so desperate.

Xxx

Hi Madeline, I had IVF at Guys ACU and I believe AMH is related to whether you have long or short protocol...IVF criteria I believe remains the same in terms of a certain age group, no children from either individual etc for funding so you can find this online.I found the experience there much better than private etc.

My experience began Dec 2020 when placed on list and treatment began end of Jan/early Feb in terms of medications etc. So during covid lockdown treatments continued for all albeit slower and only with more rules in place to protect all.

Egg retrieval then due to response had to wait a month so BFP wasnt until April I believe...not great with dates.

The discharge from service could've gone better but to be honest I didn't want to be discharged, the care and support was just too good.

Hope this helps a bit
