Any success stories of getting a BFP after testing negative on day 10/11

Hi fellow warriors

Hope you’re all okay.

Yesterday was our official test day (5dt10dpt) and we received a negative result but the nurses at our clinic have said to keep taking my pessaries for a few days and test again. Any success stories of a negative turning into a positive?

I think I’m coming to terms with the fact it hasn’t worked but just wondered if there is still a chance.

This cycle produced our first two blastocysts (this was our fifth egg collection and third transfer) as my husband went through a sperm extraction op and I took testosterone for four weeks before starting stims and then growth hormone as well as menopur/cetrotide. We feel very lucky to have a frozen five day embie, our first one so will try again when we feel ready.

Sending love and hugs to all. This journey is so bloody tough. xxx

Hey Kat. I can't answer your specific question I'm afraid but I wanted to reach out as our situations sound quite similar. I've had 4 cycles (including an FET) and 3 transfers and have low AMH. Its great news you have a frozen one as this will give you another opportunity if you need it. Best of luck with your result x

Hello, thanks so much for reaching out and so sorry to hear you have been going through a similar journey to us. Are you planning another cycle soon or taking a break?

I did another test this morning and it was negative so going into our clinic tomorrow to get a blood test so I can be sure before coming off my medication. I’m pretty sure it’s game over this time but need to be completely sure. xx

Hi Kat, it certainly is bloody tough. We are on our 5th ICSI now. However, we were very lucky on our first and have a 2 year old. I was negative on CB tests up as far as 10dp5dt and got the slightest squinter on day 11. Our clinic has a test day of 14dp5dt for that reason. I possibly had a late implantation but I have a healthy strong toddler. I don't want to give u false hope but I wanted to tell you that it's not over until it's over. Hang in there. Wait another few days and try to keep the anxiety as calm as possible. Best of luck to you.x

Hello, thanks so much for your message and so great to hear your first cycle worked and you had a similar experience to me with testing. I tested again this morning (day 12) and it was still negative so going to go to my clinic tomorrow for a blood test to be completely sure before coming off my medication. Really hope your next cycle goes well, wishing you all the best and baby dust. Xx

Hi there,

I’m so sorry it was a negative. IVF is very tough indeed.

I also got a negative yesterday after third FET this year so I know how disappointing it is.

Unfortunately at this point it’s unlikely to become a positive. You do hear the odd story at such a late point but I don’t want to give you false hope. But like you say, once you have a blood test you’ll know for sure and can go from there.

Great news about your frostie though and wishing you lots of luck when you do try again.

Big hugs xx
