Swollen Down Below Area

Hi

I am 14 weeks pregnant and for the past few weeks I have been feeling really swollen, dry and a feeling of heaviness down below. I rang the Doctors who swabbed me for thrush and BV and both come back negative. The Doctor said this can happen in pregnancy with the changing of hormones. I was worried it could be a prolapse. Has anyone else had this? I just feel really worried.

12 week scan went absolutely fine baby measuring exactly what they should be and they told me my cervix looked closed.

Hi Gabriella, I had the same swelling although mine was more towards the end of my pregnancy and I discussed it with my midwife and she said it was completely normal due to all of the blood flow, I then remember asking my friend about it and she said she also had the same and it’s just not a common pregnancy symptom people tend to talk about

Thank you for replying to my post 🙂 the Doctor examined me roughly 3 weeks ago and just said it’s completely normal due to hormones etc it’s just the dryness and irritation that gets worrying. But to know other people have had this is reassuring. I did think it only came in later pregnancy so was shocked to get this so early on. Thank you again xx
