How many days from Trigger to Embryo Transfer

Hello,

How many days does it take on average from the day of trigger to Embryo transfer. I'm asking so to know how many leave days I should be asking for at work.

It depends if you do a 3, 5 or 6 day transfer. But typically your trigger is 36 hours before collection (so 2 days before) and then you will either transfer on day 2, 3, 5 or 6. So it could be anything from 4 days to 8 days... I am afraid there is no perfect science behind it! I have never taken anything other than collection day off work though. Good luck x

Hi Tamilore. Egg collection is timed at 36 hours after trigger shot has been given, then transfer depends upon how well your embryos grow and whether they get to Day 3 or Day 5 blastocyst. Good luck! Diane
