Hi I’m 7dp5dt and my bloating seems to be getting worse, whatever I try it doesn’t help.
I thought it was perhaps down to being constipated but ended up taking Laxido, and have now gone (sorry TMI) and no better.
Not sure if it’s OHSS but thought it would be subsiding by now. Last round I didn’t suffer like this at all, not sure if it’s because I got 18 eggs from 22 follicles this time. Or whether it’s simply the progesterone?
Any tips to help?
Also 2ww is driving me mad! Bring on Sunday for test day, really hoping and praying it’s BFP.

Urgh bloating is the worst. I had this during my OHSS and it’s super painful. It could also be the progesterone. Is there someone that can look at you this week just to put your mind at ease.
I could message the clinic but I didn’t want to seem like I was overreacting! But it’s just so uncomfortable. So I will in the morning see what they say. X
Okay. Try sip lots of water. Apparently that helps but I’m not convinced yet. Maybe I’m not drinking enough. Don’t worry about bothering them, I’m sure they’ve heard it all. I called once panicked that I was bleeding, there were like ‘ it’s your period’ I was so out of it that I forgot my cycle . 😂 Anyway, hopefully it gets better tomorrow.
It does sound like OHSS, after all you had so many eggs collected! I had around 20 and 16 mature. I developed OHSS after transfer and they told me that the pregnancy hormones made it worse! So hopefully it is a good sign for you too! 10 days later my OHSS is gone! Best of luck xxx
I get massive bloating just from the progesterone alone. Huge. Looks like I’m 5 months pregnant! It is so uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I don’t really know how to relieve it. Apparently, chamomile or lemon balm tea help. They didn’t seem to help me at all, though. Best of luck! 🤞🏼
It could be OHSS, give your clinic a call for advice. I only collected 8 eggs and I still ended up with OHSS that was severe enough to put me in the hospital. My OHSS was exasperated by the fact I am pregnant with twins so my HCG levels were really high… so maybe it’s a positive sign for you too! 🤞🏻
To help with the bloating, I was advised to drink 4L of water and 1L of milk plus a high protein diet (little and often). It was quite hard to maintain that but I did it and with time it’s helped. I still have enlarged ovaries (at 9w2d) but i’m not in pain with them anymore.
I was told to drink at least 3 litres of water a day by the doctor when i had my transfer last week. I was bloated and my right ovary was still bloated from the egg retrieval. Getting better but still feel a little uncomfortable but prob part to do with the progesterone medication. Hope you feeling better soon! x
