Hello, I’ve just had the results of my amh test and it’s 16.2, I says I’m in the low category, do I need to be worried about this? Thank you for any replies in advance
AHM 16.2: Hello, I’ve just had the... - Fertility Network UK
AHM 16.2
Mine is 7.8 ( I think ) but my Dr said that wasn’t the whole picture . AMH alone doesn’t determine your chances. I’m 12 weeks / so I guess she was right. Don’t worry yourself - there’s hope.
Mine is 9.0, at the appointment the nurse told me that it wasn’t classed as ‘low’. I asked the question because I’m an over thinker. X
AMH level is based on age. 16.2 nmol/L is a pretty decent level but I assume low for your age (how old are you?). Definitely not too low to get pregnant and if you are younger you also have age on your side - you may have lower egg reserve for your age but the quality will be much better than older women with the same AMH level. xx
Mine was 16.2 when I had the test at 30 and I was told by the clinic that it was in the normal range. Managed to get 12 eggs during collection so I was happy 😊
Aww that’s great news, did you have success with your results? Xx
We had 4 5 day blasts, 1 early miscarriage and currently 7 weeks (+5) pregnant with latest transfer. 🤞this one carries on! I think 16.2 is absolutely fine I asked if it was okay for trying to conceive naturally (we have a sperm issue) and consultant seemed very positive.
Hello, I’m 36 so hopeful it will work for us xx
Hi Tilly
Mine was 11.4 and I got 19 eggs, 9 fertilised, 4 frosties, OHSS and then 1 BFP
Honestly, I was concerned aswel but then I read that it is only about egg reserve (although I still had a afc of 20 - work that out!) Nothing to do with quality. Also I have read so many stories of ladies asking for a re-test and the result going up
Best wishes
X
Thank you fingers crossed I have some good ones in there 😍
Mine was 7.8 I think and now have a 7 month old little boy. One of the nurses said they didn’t used to tell people the number because it doesn’t mean much but people get really stressed. I was told mine was in the normal range but the lower end of normal. We did two rounds. The first was awful, didn’t have anything to transfer, second round we had two AA blastocysts, number two is our little boy. The whole journey is a minefield of questions and anxieties. I think the AMH number helps the clinic work out what medication/dose to give. I didn’t respond to the first medication, following round was much better. Try to be optimistic and not too stressed/obsessed. When it finally worked for us, I decided to stop obsessing (which I did loads off for a long time). I generally eat quite well and continued to eat my typical diet but still had some treats and even an occasional glass of wine. I still think this helped where as previous rounds I obsessed about fertility advice and was too strict and hard on myself. The journey is hard enough so take time to be kind to yourself. Good luck xxx
Mine is 3.4 and I’m nearing the end of my second pregnancy. I have 3 embryos in storage x
Mine was 14 and got 16 eggs,1 top quality n currently 12 weeks post BFP.it’S quality as well but 14 definitely not too low x
