Low AHM level

Feeling very sad. I thought my AHM level was 8 which is low but got a letter yesterday saying it's 0.89😭 So even worse. I am so upset and the letter says as well I should think about if I still want to continue with treatment as I might not respond well to meds. Shouldn't the doctors be giving me hope and telling me not to worry and that's why they are there to help? Any success story on that very low AHM. I know I have to have faith and trust in God as He only has the final say.

You should definitely still try, all is not lost! People do get pregnant with that amh.

You could look into dhea and take it for 3 months before you start? Xx

I've not had my tested for over a year and I suspect mine will also have decreased significantly (mine was 7 last time checked). But I remember my clinic really not concerned by it as they said it's all about quality not quantity. A woman on instagram who I follow had an AMH v similar to yours (though I can't remember exactly what it was) and conceived naturally. I know it's easier said than done, but keep the faith and good luck xx

Hi Raoo, really sorry to hear that. But all is not lost. Have you had an AFC scan? You might still have a decent number of follicles. AMH gives more of an indication of how you’ll respond to IVF meds so if it’s very low doctors say don’t bother. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still conceive naturally. It does happen but I guess doctors want to manage expectations. IVF isn’t suitable for everyone. Best of luck!
