Hello, please can anyone advice if anyone took any of the above or had anything prior to treatment? I’m looking into getting treatment and looking for any advice? Thank you

Accupunture/ massage/ anything else?
Hey, with my first egg collection I did reflexology. For my second and third transfer I tried acupuncture. For my fourth, I went back to reflexology and I really love it. It’s fertility reflexology, so focused on where I am in my cycle and treatment. Now that I’m pregnant, I’m still using reflexology to help with my anxiety.
Acupuncture was also good in that it helped with my digestive system and cold feet! Xx
Hi Tilly
I had accupunture before and during stims and whilst prepping for my FET. I found it relaxing and my acupuncturist gave me so much advice around food and mental state, she was very supportive.
I got my first BFP this weekend 🥰❤.
Best wishes x
Hi Tilly
I’ve tried acupuncture once (1st transfer) a BFN. This time around (4th transfer), a BFP, I made sure I had two full body massages (not too vigorous) in the week running up to my FET to ensure blood was circulating and had cleared any toxins out. This was based on google searches for massage and IVF/FET. There are studies out there confirming that massages increase ivf outcome so I thought why not. I love a massage; they relax me both mentally and physically and really needed it.
Hope this helps xx
Ps I did a lot of things differently this time for my BFP.. so I can message you privately a list if you’d like. X
Me too please!!
Hi Tilly
From a fellow Tilly! I used fertility acupuncture for all three transfers (positive ending in missed miscarriage, negative and finally a positive and nearly 10 weeks pregnant) over the course of about 18 months (it adds up!!) I found it helped give me some time and space and really helped with anxiety. The acupuncturist I use now is actually a midwife so I get loads of extra advice and support from her which is lovely. I’ve also had fertility reflexology which was super relaxing, but for me I felt acupuncture was ‘doing something more’ for me and the reflexology felt more like a massage. I have also used an osteopath who helped align my body and clear any blockages through cranial work. I have tried quite a lot of alternative therapies and even a psychic most recently!! It really is whatever helps relax you and keeps you calm and feeling a sense of control throughout the process. But equally don’t feel the pressure to try this stuff, my other friends have had successful IVF rounds first time with no other alternative therapies. Good luck xx
Hi there, my name is Sen. I saw your post about using a fertility acupuncture, congrats on your current pregnancy, hope it's going smoothly :)May I ask you to share contact of your acupuncturist with me please? I'm having my transfer next month.
Thanks a lot,
Sen
I have Accupuncture, I love it. She’s like a therapist too. Get a fertility specialist. Check out Acupuncture Fertility Network website. And/or look at the BAcC register for people nearby then go to their websites to check expertise x
I did weekly accupunture sessions. I tried reflexology but preferred my accupunture sessions😊I also did weekly moxa at home and weekly caster oil packs at home (caster oil is good for detoxification and help blood circulate) I did find my uterus lining got thicker using caster oil packs
Also i took vitamins (I'm happy to send over the list), and eat a healthy balanced diet x
I did acupuncture and it’s good. As others have said, she is also really understanding of what you’re going through and it has helped calm me down a lot. Got a BFP too
Yes, I did 2 acupuncture sessions during stims then also 2 more on the day of embryo transfer (immediately before and after). Currently 7 weeks so still v v v early days and there are a million more important factors involved. But once I'd decided to throw the kitchen sink at it, it was a no brainer. If anything, it made me feel amazing despite veeeery long 16 days of stimming. I used the london acupuncture clinic which was handily, v close to my ivf clinic. Good luck xo
Hey Tilly, this is Emma. I tried using acupuncture, massage, and other Chinese medicine techniques a few years ago before I got pregnant with my son. I can highly recommend trying them at least, if nothing else they help you to relieve tension and relax during your pregnancy journey. I read that studies find these techniques do have a benefit but who knows.
Regardless, I have nothing but positives to say about the traditional Chinese medicine clinic I used. They were very helpful to me and gave me acupuncture and supplements for my diet. Look them up they’re called Ginsen clinics in London if you want to know more.
