Hello, my consultant was the one who told me to have acupuncture as there is scientific evidence to show that it helps the blood flow, helps to stimulate all the right muscles and organs. I go every week to my acupuncture and I really look forward to it, it relaxes me and im sure it is helping with my endo lining!! Still on first cycle but im feeling positive. Good luck with your cycle xx
Hi Songbird9. First of all, can anyone replying with the name of a practice, please do so via private message, as it will be seen as advertising. I do believe that acupuncture can help lots with ensuring good blood flow to the reproductive organs, and also with relaxation. Whoever you do decide to approach for treatment, please make sure they are registered acupuncturists. Hope it helps if you decide to go. Diane
Hi
I had acupuncture all way through my treatment and really felt it helped. I am now 33 weeks pregnant from first round. Good luck x
I’ve had Acupunture 3/4 cycles and will be having it again. My consultant suggested me trying it and it definitely helps me feel slightly more relaxed. I think it’s the feeling of knowing your in control of at least something during your treatment xx
I had acupuncture and found it really useful even if only to relax me. I’d recommend it. Mine was with a Chinese medicine centre in East London. Xx
Hi Songbird. I'm in process of having fertility acupuncture so can't yet say if it's successful. What I can say is that it's lovely and relaxing so I imagine that will help anyway. Mine is registered with the appropriate organisations and specialises in fertility. She has worked with my fertility clinic for several years so comes with their recommendation. Not in Essex though sorry - but good luck with your search.
Hi lovely,
I have had acupuncture for the past three years every week to help with my endometriosis and believe that this has helped me get pregnant now as I was told I'd have to keep keep trying for years. I would definitely recommend looking out for someone that is well established and with alot of experience. I go to a acupuncture clinic in north london but have seen reviews on the Essex acupuncture room which looks quite good - may be worth a look?
Alongside accupuncture if you go to a tradition chinese medicine acupuncturist you will find they offer you a combo treatment of powder herbal teas which I also took (may not smell very nice as you have to boil them on the stove) but I think this has all helped with me now being halfway through my pregnancy (praise be to god). Hope this helps xx
Hi Songbird9,
I was really interested in acupuncture so decided to try it on my second cycle. Found a really lovely acupuncturist that’s highly regarded in the fertility/IVF field and started regular weekly sessions a few months before the start of my cycle and continued them throughout and during my 2ww.
I found it really relaxing but for me, it was my worst cycle, I had the same protocol as my first but I responded poorly so for me I didn’t continue acupuncture on future cycles as it’s expensive and didn’t add any value. x
