Failed transfer fet

Hi ladies I just failed my fet 2 embryo transfer. It’s my first time and started in jan. the journey has taken forever. What is more sad is my embryos did not even implant. My beta was -0.1. Dr says because I did not pgs test. I had 2 day 5 blasts. Can somebody please tell me if there could be another reason. Or if this has happened to them. It’s all I could afford.

I’m sorry your FET did not work. There are probably 101 reasons an embryo doesn’t implant and blaming it on not PGS testing seems very odd, especially on a first round. On a first round, it can just be bad luck, or there could be a problem with the embryo, or immune problems, or ‘sticky blood’, or wrong length of progesterone, or structural defects, or bacteria within the uterus, or excessive uterine spasm during transfer, to name a few. There are a barrage of tests that could be done, and given HFEA’s view of PGS I’m not sure that should be at the top. You really need to discuss with your consultant in more depth and if your clinic tell you PGS is definitely what you need before anything else I would be seeking a second opinion. Xx
