Fertility the mountain you never realised you had to climb.

I’m taking cyclogest 3 times a day 😞 it’s messy and a bit time consuming as you have to lay down for 30 minutes each time, but if it works I’ll try anything. I’m on my 2ww and that’s the longest time to wait 😜. It feels like it’s all been worth the journey when you get to this stage. I don’t think I realised just how long it takes with all the tests and then covid struck and my clinic closed down.

I was thankful I swapped to a private clinic which meant we could get on with things a bit quicker..but still 2 years have passed and I’m only on my 2nd attempt. I’m hoping they’ve found my golden egg this time. The nurses keep saying we only want one.

Good luck to all you troopers, baby dust all round.

Wishing you loads of luck! Its tough trooping on but worth it for the end result. Also worth mentioning that you can use cyclogest rectally which is way less messy....not as bad as it sounds once you do the first one.xx

It’s flipping exciting but also in the back of my mind I’m like if it’s not worked then let’s get cracking on the next plan now 🤣🤭 I just hope it’s worked so I can move on to the next stage like planning and scans and 🤫 i best not get too ahead of myself.

It’s an expensive process as well, you get given a price plan and that’s just a ball park figure you smash though with all the add ons and cancelled treatment. You never thought about in the beginning. Be great to stop spending on treatment and start spending on the next stage.

Oh god I hear you on everything. Including US genetically tested donor sperm, blood tests, meds and (luckily) freezing, one round cost me 12k. 😖😖😖😖😖😖 I was aiming for 9. But I have a tentative bfp and 6 more embryos in the freezer so... Clearly no guarantees at a pregnancy let alone a healthy birth (I hate the term live birth so so much) but in with a better shot than before when I paid little and got no embryos. Hopefully there is no correlation and mine is just a coincidence but that's my experience..

And I was a bit restless like you too. Part itching to find out, part wanting the agony of all the injections I'm taking to stop. So I stupidly started testing on day 5 post 5 day transfer and now I'm staring at faintly positive tests thinking about all the new milestones.. ugh... Can't even enjoy a positive result! 😄

New series recommendation: Your Honour on Sky. Lapped it up in a couple of days. 😊

Be careful testing early as some of the drugs can give a positive result as they mimic the pregnancy hormone. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Yes, but they've been getting stronger and it has now been 15 days since the trigger shot so very very very cautiously optimistic. Xo

That does sound promising I’ll keep everything crossed

Hey Goldenegg - love that name!Oh do I hate the pessaries. So messy and just worry I might see a speck of blood and cause me to flip out when using the applicator 🤦🏻‍♀️ Luckily this time I'm doing twice a day which makes chilling out for 20 mins a lot easier than having to find a way to hide out at work after popping them in.

But hurrah we made it to the 2ww and we could be pregnant right now! Like you I just want to know now and be able to move forward. When's your OTD? I have 2 sleeps left and today almost wobbled and tested early but my OH would be annoyed at me if I did so holding on til Tues.

Good luck and hope the rest of your wait zips by and gives you that golden result at the end. Take care xx

My date is the 12th so a little while yet. My cycles are really close together so it’s possible I might find out sooner if my period shows up. But I’m hoping with the pessaries it’ll give my body a little longer to implant. I’m afraid at my age it’s the golden egg we’re searching for. Good luck and we’ll dine for not testing early .

I’m also in the same boat as you, having my second transfer today after going through this process for about 2 years too. Wishing you the best of luck and hope your TWW isn’t too hard 😊 Xx

I never thought it would take this long so I’ve just stopped talking to people about it because everybody thinks it’s a simple process and they’re confused when you explain it. Glad I’ve found this chat room. I’m just trying to ignore the 2ww filling it with fun stuff to keep busy..

Good luck!

Crossing my fingers and wishing you the best of luck!! Try and plan some light things to keep your mind busy during the TWW x
