I have my FET transfer which is my 5th transfer in total. My first one was beginning of 2017 and for each transfer I’ve always opted for the embryo glue at extra cost. My clinic has done their own research with people that have and haven’t had the glue over the years & they have said it hadn’t shown improvements in pregnancy rate so they don’t advocate it. I said on the phone I wanted it and she’s sent me a consent form but now looking at hefa etc I’m wondering wether to do this round without 🤔

Embryo glue to have or not?
I have used it on at least 4 out of my 7 transfer. Including my most recent which was successful although I couldn’t say it was because of that. I just felt using it gave me some kind of positive reassurance if that makes sense. X
Yeah that’s my thing too- I feel like if I don’t use it this time will I be like oh if I used it might have been different as I used it with my daughter who’s now 3 but then I think that’s only 1 out of 4 that’s worked so is it helpful or not. Confused and probably overthinking it ha ha x
I have always told myself it’s like most things you can do to support ivf they are not proven but we cling to the hope they will help. Personally once I started using it I decided not to stop. I have tried many things acupuncture and resulted in my worst round. Wishing you lots of luck for your transfer and making this decision xx
Our clinic actually includes this as standard, at no extra cost (just part of the huge overall cost😂) . But if it didn't, I don't know that I would have added it as an extra. I do completely understand the 'add everything you can to increase chances', however! x
I’m sure when I had a multi cycle round it was included as standard but that was a few rounds ago. I guess I think because I used it when I had my daughter it might have been the ‘magic ‘ ingredient ha ha x
My doctor always says that if the endometrium is thick enough, the uterus is okay, you're not having some kind of bad reaction, and the embryo is good, that it WILL implant. We all talk about hoping the "bean" will stick, as if adhesion is the problem, when most of the time I don't think it is? Unless someone knows they specifically are having repeat implantation problems with good quality, tested embryos.
Yeah I’ve had 3 failed implantation but no real reason, enough eggs collected all blastocysts, lining is always as it should be and lucky enough to have a daughter from my 2nd ivf transfer so I think cause I had it with her I just keep sticking to it like it was the thing that made it happen (when clearly it wasn’t just that) it’s the same reason I do progesterone injections every day instead of the pesseries as I’ve always had those too. I swear ivf makes you crazy 😂 x
I asked my clinic before my last fresh transfer, and they said, similar to what you said, that in their own experience it did not make any difference in outcome.
