Somehow I've made it six days into the TWW. I don't really know if I feel optimistic or if I'm resigned to it being a BFN. I guess I just don't know. This was my first fresh transfer, since my first two were FET (one BFN with D3, one BFP with D5 that ended in MC).
I will absolutely not test until my OTD, which for my clinic is fourteen whole days after transfer, even for a 5-day blast.
I wanted to post because most of the people who post about testing during the TWW are people who cave and test early, even though pretty much every clinic urges you not to. It never really makes people feel better, and it doesn't really make them feel "prepared" either. There is always doubt either way until OTD, and people just end up in agony.

Morning LuxFleur, I’m with you at 7dp5dt. My clinic also have a 14 day wait till OTD which I’ll be waiting for. I totally get what you mean about the not really knowing how to feel. I have zero symptoms that I have noticed which I know still means nothing. Just wanted to hop and say I’ll be with you waiting till OTD. Best of luck lovely, lots of sticky vibes xxx
Good choice on waiting for OTD hun, testing early only makes doubts worse if it’s a positive or negative, either way!Waiting is really hard (and it gets even harder after the BFP as you know!) and we can only keep our fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻Good luck!
I didn't have any symptoms in the first weeks any of the times that I have been pregnant. I think when people have symptoms it's usually psychosomatic or a result of hormone drugs. Hang in there. It's tough with the injections, I did those with my FETs, but you'd have to continue them until OTD regardless of the result. Best of luck with the wait.
Hi LuxFleur. Thanks for this post, as I am a great believer in waiting until the day recommended by each clinic before testing. Keeping everything crossed for you. Diane
Totally agree about waiting! I never understood why people test early! Even if you get a faint line day 5 you can then be totally back to negative by the time you get to day 14. It’s such a mind f*ck! Good luck to you!
Hi LuxFleur, my clinic gave me 30th June as OTD, which I think is 11dp5dt. Pretty sure I also won't be testing early! The agony doesn't seem worth it. The only reason I've remotely considered it in the past is a probably-stupid 'test' to see if I actual even have chemical pregnancies, i.e. if any kind of implantation is happening for me at all. I've never had a BFP and sometimes i think i might be good to test a bit early and at least know what's going on. But honestly, I don't think it's worth the torture. The only other ET I had was 18 months ago and I didn't test at all until OTD (in fact I didn't even want to then... something about letting the hope live a bit longer 🙏). It was an awful time as we were losing my lovely Grandma, and I was so grief-stricken and stressed I almost didn't notice it failed 😔 x
