Hi, has anyone here taken the vaccine before starting their IVF journey and had a good response or you are pregnant now? Can you please share your story?
I have been delaying taking the vaccine as I’m worried about the rumoured link to infertility and being 42, I don’t have many chances left. Thanks.
Hi I've had my first vaccine and was told it was ok to have. I've just ended an IVF cycle and hoping to start a FET next month. I am 42 and never been pregnant. I can't say about response as not tried after the vaccine. I know there is a lot of scaremongering about the internet. Most women in my ivf support group have also taken the jab and some have become pregnant. It really is a personal decision though x
I had mine three days before starting stims and just got my first ever BFP. x
Hi Winnie! I've had Pfizer a couple of weeks before I started stims and all went well, got a good number of eggs! I've been told though if you're pregnant you should delay having the vaccine until post 12 weeks! x
It's a nasty anti-vaxxer rumour to make people more vaccine hesitant. NO vaccines cause infertility, including any of the Covid 19 ones.

If I were you, I'd get vaccinated and have it over and done with ASAP before going on to start treatment. I'm in Brazil and I wish we had the option to be vaccinated, but rollout is desperately slow here

There is zero evidence the covid vaccine affects fertility. Initially pregnant women were advised not to have it as there had been insufficient testing to know it is safe in pregnancy (which there is now), so I am not sure if these daft rumours started here or if, like almost all antivax rumours, they are simply malicious in origin. Grab the jab with both hands while you can-I just missed out on being eligible because I was at the wrong point in treatment when I got my invite and I am now pregnant and unvaccinated. It really sucks given the current third wave start and more infectious and virulent delta variant, and I can’t wait until 12 weeks when baby is developed enough to get mine. Xx

Vaccinated 5 days before starting stims, all went well. There is no connection between vaccinations and fertility!
Hey hun , I'm 39 and I had my first Covid-19 vaccination last month. I am currently 4 weeks 2 pregnant , early days- I've had 3 losses in a row ( 20 weeks, 4 weeks and 8 weeks) after having our 2 year old daughter ( following a 7 year struggle) My miscarriage specialist strongly recommended to have my vaccine. Also I wanted to protect any potential baby ( I know they say it doesn't cross the placenta but,,) I am very sure it does not impact on fertility. Xx
Antivaxers like to spread their conspiracy theories about vaccines. Be careful what you read and follow the science. There are many environmental factors affecting fertility including Teflon pans and other chemicals but vaccines are not one of them.
Hello, just to back up the other comments this was a rumour that’s been completely disproved. My clinic say it’s safe up to a week before transfer then to wait until pregnancy is confirmed to make your decision with GP. I know loads of pregnant women who have had it safely.
I have also seen a couple of vicious Instagram pages trying to claim the vaccine causes miscarriage, very insensitive and no evidence to suggest this. You’ve every right to be concerned, I when I first heard the rumours but it’s just scaremongering xx
Hi, I Had AZ in March. Got BFP 5 weeks ago. It did not affect my cycle or fertility.
I’m 16 weeks + 4 and not bothered having it, and won’t do until after the birth
