8dp5dt I had some old blood spotting yesterday but wasn't too concerned but last night the cramps got worse and I got my period so I'm pretty certain we are done for this cycle. I've phoned the clinic this morning who have advised I need to keep up the meds and still test on Thursday (which tbh feels cruel I know they need the data but it just feels like its prolonging the inevitable)
We only got the one Blastocyst so nothing in the freezer. How long before I can start round 2?
I'm going to ask about changing the protocol I've got low AMH (2.6) so was on long protocol 375 GonalF which was way more expensive then we anticipated. I suspect I'll be told that with my AMH its the best option (we got 3 eggs from 5 follicles ) all mature, 2 fertilised (ICSI as sperm quality had significantly changed since our initial tests) 1 made it to blastocyst.
Feeling quite deflated, other half still thinks we have a chance and I'm being pessimistic.
Also does anyone know if I'm ok to switch to my usual sanitary routine (moon cup) I've been using a pad as I have been on Utrogestron but the nurse advised to take these via the "back passage" (why does it irritate me that they won't use the atomically correct name!)

I know exactly how you feel, this happened to me in the second cycle, I bled heavily before test day and they said to keep taking the meds and test, it was no surprise it was a BFN!!!
Re your protocol, I’m sure I’ve seen other ladies on here who have lie AMH and have gone either a short protocol or mild IVF and had better collection results - I’m sure they are in a much better position to give advise on that
I’ve always used my pessaries rectally as it’s less messy
Thank you for replying, its definatly something I want to explore. I've taken some paracetamol and ditched the pads (I hate how they feel) and am using the moon cup so I feel I have some control back over what's happening and dealing with it in a way that works for me!
I'm guessing its 6 weeks at least before we can try again, so time to hit the gym, loose a bit more weight and get the other half on a sperm improvement program !
Yes I think it is a couple of months before you can go again, you’ll have a follow up appointment with a consultant if you choose to.
Defo get in the gym, get motivated before you enter another round, each round knocks the stuffing out of you - so need to give your body and mind a chance to recoup
