Does start of a miscarriage always include cramping? I am bleeding without cramps 5wks and 6 days now.

Hi Ladies,

Has anyone who has miscarried, done so without cramping? I am bleeding maroonish red blood, started off as brownish pink discharge for about a week, and now since yesterday it has increased to this maroonish red colour (similar to period). Its only when i wipe but covers about 1/3 of a loo roll.

I was planning to go to my local epu next week for my 7 week scan as i dont have cramps but wondering if i should go earlier with the bleeding increasing.

It will be my 3rd miscarriage if i am miscarrying, have cried loads and now braced myself for the worse. But still cant help but hold onto that bit of hope. Am i deluded?!

Any comments / advice would be much appreciated xx

Hey any bleeding should get checked I would phone them and say u want seen sooner good luck x

Hi joey. Sounds a bit like old blood to me. You are worried, so if I were you, go to the EPU and see what they have to say. good luck! Diane

When I had blighted ovum, I started bleeding around 6 weeks and didn't have any cramps. If your clinic doesn't want to scan you, can you find some other place that would?

I had two bleeds with my first pregnancy one at 10 weeks it was put down to late implantation bleed randomly ! But all was ok , ring the EPU see how you get on it may be a watch and wait till 7 weeks x hope all is ok x

Hi Ladies, thank for all your responses. Unfortunately i miscarried. Planning a cycle after 1 month. Does anyone know if i can try naturally next month? Seems like i have more luck getting pregnant naturally (3x but lost all 3 at early stages). Ive read conflicting things, some say wait couple months and others say try again straight away as you are more fertile. Any advise? Many thanks xx
