I hope this post doesn’t upset anyone - during my journey I was desperate to here positive stories from ladies over 40, so I thought I’d share mine in the hope it encourages someone.
Emilia was born at 38+2 on 24th May using my own eggs and we’re besotted. I’m 44 and had 4 egg collections and 4 transfers, one of which resulted in a MMC with twins. During our journey we struggled with poor fertilization (despite using ICSI), failed implantation, 3 cancelled cycles due to thin lining & my husband being diagnosed with cancer and going through surgery & chemo.
All I can say is it was worth every second of the tough journey to hold our little girl. So if you’re still battling through please hang in there...
