Hello again ladies ,

You will see in my previous post that i had a mmc .. i am still processing the shock but i wanted to ask about bleeding after .. my RE gave me one week if no bleeding he will do d and c .. can you share your experiences .. for now all i can think about is my health and well being .. i can use some advice when should i expect bleeding ? The pain , flow ? If i had to go for d and c is it painful ? How much time will i have to rest afterwards

Any advice would be helpful

Thank you

Hi lovely, I just want to say I am sorry to read this as I was keeping everything crossed for you. I can’t imagine how awful this is but make sure you take the time you need to process. Sending a virtual hug xx

Hey, I’m so sorry. I had a mmc last March. I waited 3 weeks for my body to bleed but unfortunately it didn’t so I had medical management (tablets) as I didn’t want the d&c. I believe that the d&c is quicker and less painful than the tablets, I was in quite a lot of pain whilst I passed everything but it only lasted 24 hours and it was done and then I felt much better. I bled for about 5 days after that (not overly heavy just consistent).

Thinking of you xx

Thank you and sorry for your loss it’s a very hard journey for us

Hi Endwarrior , I'm so so sorry to read your news. Same thing happened to me end of April. 7 week scan, strong heartbeat but measuring 6 days behind schedule.... 9 week scan no heartbeat and it had stopped growing at 8 weeks :( 💔

I had a d&c, I just wanted it out of me at that point and also means they can test the removed fetus for genetic abnormalities.

The procedure was only 10 mins and not painful at all. The main problem I'm having now is I still have hcg in me (5 weeks later) so can't start a new cycle just yet. Goodness knows when my period will arrive... They say up to 6 weeks after d&c, I'll probably be more :(

Hope everything goes ok whatever decision you make, and I promise it does get easier but even now 5 weeks after I'm still struggling, especially with all my work colleagues getting pregnant around me :( xxxx

😘😘

Got my period this morning. 4.5 weeks after d&c. Our bodies are pretty amazing really, ovulating just a few weeks after d&c I'm guessing. You've got this Endwarrior , stay strong and be kind to your body 😘😘😘 xxx

I am sorry for your loss. I have had both natural MC and MMC which ended up in surgery. My natural MC was c. 6 weeks and honestly it was just like a heavy period and I didnt have any pain.. but I know other people who have had bad cramps and pain so it can vary by person.

Whenever possible I have chosen a D&C so I could get it over with physically to clear myself time to deal with it mentally.

Sending you a hug and wishing you luck x

So sorry to hear your update. I’ve had a couple and both times the bleeding started about a week after stopping the progesterone. The first time I just had a big bleed the second time I had gotten a little further along and I had cramps which were painful but completely manageable. I passed both naturally though as that was my preferred option.

On the second one I had a scan at the EPU about a week and a half after stopping the meds and was told although I had passed some there was still more to go, but I continued to bleed and felt like it was all over a couple of days later. The nurse said to take a pregnancy test two weeks after the scan and if it was negative I was done but if not to call back. It was negative thankfully.

I hope it all goes quickly for you x
