Hi lovely ladies. I'm 40 y/o, had 2 failed IVF cycles (12 eggs retrieved, 10 fertilized, 2 transferred and 6 frozen) Fresh cycle in Mar and FET Apr 2021 which left me devastated especially that my husband travels for work and we're not TTC naturally in between. Switched clinics and my doctor asked for blood tests to detect autoimmune disorder and blood clots. I'm afraid that these might be possible causes of implantation failure, especially that all my hormones and blood tests and hysteroscopy are perfect. Can you give me some hope? Anyone detected with autoimmune or blood clots and got BFP? are treatments for such diseases complicated? Lots of baby dust your way!

3rd IVF Cycle: What if I get diagnosed with autoimmune or blood clotting disease?
Hi Future1000Try not to panic, if they find out that you have any issues at least they know the best way to plan any future cycles. I am 42 and have two autoimmune disorders, one is an underactive thyroid that is treated with thyroxine, the other is rheumatoid arthritis. I stopped my usual meds for the rheumatoid arthritis and was treated solely with a high course of steroids for my last fet. The steroids suppress your immune system, stops your cells from attacking yourself, and maybe a good quality embryo that’s trying to implant!! As for any blood clotting disorders, if they find any issues they will most probably prescribe blood thinners for you and maybe aspirin. So don’t despair, athough this was my 6th attempt at Ivf I am now 12+5 weeks pregnant, so there is hope for xxx
There is a solution for all the problems. Blood thinner and steroids it is a solution for mentioned issues. Don't think that far ahead, stay calm and positive. You have such a good number of embryos, I would have PGS tested them so make agony and waiting time shorted. Take care 💕🤗
Hey,I've just had some of those tests done. I got a few results back that mean I need to take steroids or extra tablets but there's no reason you won't be able to do a future FET with your embryos so lots of hope still. I will say with some of the results there are high odds that there will be an abnormality so don't panic too much if there are a negative result. There's also mixed evidence on how much the drugs and result have an impact but my thought was every bit helps and is worth trying!
Good luck and hope the test results come back quickly. Take care xx
