Two 3 day embryos transferred hope I made the right decision!

Morning ladies hope everyone is ok where you are in your journey today! Iam just home from my transfer. At the start of this cycle my first was told I was not responding and might have to cancel! But after 14 days after stimming they agreed to egg collection. I got two eggs was disappointed but tried to be positive. Luckily both fertilised and one was top quality and one was good. The dr and embryologist gave me the choice of waiting for them to develop to blastocyst but said that due to my low numbers if they didn’t make it would have nothing to transfer. Also offered me choice of having them both transferred. I didn’t know what to do ans was half naked on the bed. I asked the dr what he would do and he said transfer both with my low egg reserve and low AMH to transfer both! So I did that, transferred both.

What do you think? Starting to think maybe should have let grow to 3 days! Anyone have positive stories Of 3 day transfers?? Thank you so much for reading and response in advance x

Congrats on being PUPO! When you only have two day 3 embies there is no point in running them to 5 days because neither may have made it, and there is a chance a day 3 embie may become a pregnancy even if it would have not made it to d5 in culture. If you have several day 3 it is preferable to run to day 5 so you can pick the strongest. So, I think you made the right choice. When is your OTD? Best of luck to you! Xx

Thanks so much Purpledoggy yeah that sounds right... blood test booked on 07/06 but nurse said to do HPT from 05/06 😬 I’m scared and excited this is my first TWW! How are your embryos doing?

The TWW is hard! No real tips on getting through it other than try to forget about it. Easier said than done!

All 7 made it to embies on day 3, although 5/7 had a little fragmentation that the embryologist was not concerned about. I will find out tomorrow how many made it to blastos and then should be in for a transfer late morning. My test date would be 4/6 but I will do it on 5/6 as it’s a weekend and working after a BFN is really really hard! Xx

Awww that’s great news! Hope tomorrow goes well looks like you have options yea defo about working and BFN I have planned to be off until the Wednesday with blood test on Monday x

Hey, congrats on getting 2 fertilised and for the transfer. I've had a similar decision and definitely advantages to both but I don't think either is the wrong decision. The only advantage to a 5 day transfer is knowing that you can make a blastocyst and if they didn't make it to day 5/6 you'd find out in a few days instead of doing a 2ww BUT lots of people say it's better for them to be where they are supposed to and you'd wonder if transfered at 3days if it had worked.

I think you made the right call for you and really hope the next couple of weeks go quickly and you get your bfp.

Good luck , I have two day 3 embryos on ice , my doctor refuses to put both of them but I will insist to do so.
