16dp5dt bleed

I’ve had 5 BFP’s on home pregnancy kits and my otd beta confirmed as a positive. Yesterday I had taken another to see if the weeks went up and it had (it showed 3+) Technically I’m 5 weeks and 6 days. Last night at about 10pm I bled bright red blood that looked and felt like a period. This morning it is just when I wipe but not as heavy. My scan is a week on Thursday. Will I just have to wait until then to find out if everything is okay? I’m going to call my clinic this morning

Also having period like cramps. I’m hoping it’s just because a lot is going on down there but it’s stressing me out

I’ve just passed what I think is the embryo I can’t stop crying. What on earth do I do I need to ring in sick at work but what do I say!??

Oh you poor thing. Tell them you’re throwing up.Definitely call your clinic - they’ll be able to advise. A lot of people do have bleeding early on so this isn’t unusual. Take some deep breaths too. Panicking won’t help you. Sending love xx

Oh I am so sorry you are going through this! Call your clinic like you said, hopefully they will have some good advice. As for work, sadly I don’t have any advice for you - my work knew what I was going through, so I would have just told them. But completely get if you have not, perhaps just say you will have to explain later, but you can’t come in today?

Sorry I am not much help, but did not want to read and not comment when you are having such a stressful time. Hope the clinic can help! Sending you a big hug! 💛

Thanks so much for your reply my heart is breaking I don’t even know what to do with it. It’s still on the tissue but can’t bring myself to throw it down the toilet and flush it but know I will probably have to. Work know I’m having IVF but wasn’t sure whether to say I was miscarrying or not. I’ve just said I’m bleeding heavily and need to get it checked out. I’m absolutely devastated x

Hopefully you don’t have to explain anything today and they will let you do that later. Good call with the GP. Aw, I am so so sorry. It is absolutely heartbreaking.

Perhaps if you have a plastic container. They may not need to see anything at clinic, but you never know. So if you can manage to wait until you have spoken to them. I know that will not be easy either, so sending you all the strength.

Be kind to yourself Xx

I am so sorry Always, I also don't have any advice but as Sparkly says call your clinic, and I'd call in sick to work. You can explain later, maybe a docs appointment might be needed if you need a sick certificate for a Monday? take care x

I am sorry you are going through this. It is very scary. I would first call in sick to work (when this happened to me I shared I was pregnant, but you can also just say something else), then call clinic or early pregnancy assessment and say you are bleeding bright red blood and 5+6 weeks. Don’t know if they’ll offer you a scan today, but they should be able to offer you scan at least in a couple of days (where I live they ask you to wait until 6 weeks in EPAS as they might not see anything earlier, however as you had 3+ weeks on clear blue Hcg is so high they should be able to at least see something although might not be heartbeat yet). Then try to just lie down and look after yourself. It might not be the embryo you passed. Fingers crossed it still doing well.

I really feel for you!

I think it depends on your EPU as to whether they will see you or not?! Another lady on the forum was around the same amount of time pregnant and hers would see her!

I was less so bleeding and mine saw me so it could be worth an ask
