hey ladies I had read somewhere that pads should be used for your period after egg retrieval rather than tampons. Has anyone been told that by their docs/nurses? mine started in the night and I only have tampons kicking about 🙄 thank you! 🧡

Yes, that’s correct. Clinics always recommend pads in order to reduce chances of infection, not just specifically for retrieval, just in general. Infection risks are significantly higher with tampons.
Good luck!x
My clinic didn’t give any advice about what sanitary product to use.
I don’t like tampons anyway and have always used pads
