Cetrotide injections - any tips to prevent the stinging sensation?

I am on day 9 of Ovaleap injections and day 2 of cetrotide on a short protocol IVF. I have found Ovaleap to be reasonably painless and easy to inject. The cetrotide however, was really painful yesterday when I injected it for the first time. Does anyone have any advice or top tips for injecting cetrotide, it felt like a bad bee sting, and was really red and raised for a long time afterwards. I'm dreading doing it again today.

Hi I found my first cetrotide the same. I found having it out of the fridge for 30 mins before I injected made it less so.

Don't no if there the same medications I was on menopur and fyremadel today was my last day of fyremadel tomorrow nomore injections 😊 hoping for the best for you mabey a ice pack for after your injections I heard this has helped x

Hey Harriet, make sure there is a little bit of air in the syringe so when you inject it it will limit the amount of cetrotide that gets on your skin and ice it right after 👌
