Full ovaries? Aching, bloating and niggles throughout Meriofert and Cetrotide. 2nd ivf cycle. Any similar experience??

Hey everyone. Brief synopsis - 2nd ivf cycle. First was not successful in that I only had 10 eggs retrieved, only of 3 which were able to go through and not even one successfully made it to blastocyst. Only 1 was transferred with a less than 5% chance of success as it was being attacked by outside cells.

I’ve been increased to 375 Meriofert and have cetrotide on 2nd cycle. Has anyone else experienced like a fullness in their lower half? It’s like crampy and niggling and really achey. especially when I laugh and sneeze etc! If this sounds relatable? Just as it goes on I’m getting more fuller and crampier I’ll be very happy if this sounds like my eggs!!! Decision day for egg collection is this Saturday for Monday!!

Hi, sorry your first round didn't work - although actually 10 eggs is a great number!! I got 3 in my first and it tends to increase most rounds. All hope is not lost!

That feeling sounds very familiar. I am on day 8 and only have 13 follicles but particularly when I sit down I feel very twingey and stretched down there, so it sounds like good news for you. Good luck! x

Have you had a day 5 scan? I did and they said a good number and all regular in size. I may have empty follicle syndrome is the issue as there was nothing inside the follicles so even though a good number it’s not guaranteed any actual eggs 😔

How are you getting on? Yes it sounds so the that’s what I have too!! Are you on Meriofert and Cetrotide too?

It was a day 7 scan and things have progressed quicker than last times so I am in for EC Friday. I have six big follicles and 7 small - the risk is the small won’t grow in time so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 that the six big ones have something in them! Really hope this is a much better cycle for you xx

I have all my fingers crossed! That should be really successful with that many follicles, I really hope that one of them is the one!

Wow I’ll be thinking of you Friday! Yes defo I hope you have bountiful eggs. If all goes to plan Saturday, I’ll be having my EC Monday. I have been prescribed extra days of injections as the consultant said she might keep me on them for more days and then EG. I just need to know for sure either way can’t wait for Saturday!

For my first round I felt very bloated by the 3rd week and the scans were very uncomfortable. They scooped out 17 eggs at retrieval. Fingers crossed you get loads this time! Xx

Yay! Congrats to you! I hope things are well? Yes I feel soooo bloated! I’ve put 10lbs on alone in weight. The scan I had on Monday was super uncomfortable and didn’t feel that last time. Thank you lovely xx

Hi crisps. Sounds a bit like your ovaries are working overtime! I would tart to drink lots of water, and hopefully it will make you feel better. Keep an eye on your urine output and if it goes down you need to speak to a doctor. Good luck for Saturday. Diane

I’m not on those particular drugs but I’m experiencing similar symptoms on my second cycle. I hoping it’s just a case of super-follicles! I’m relieved but also nervous that my egg collection is tomorrow morning. Hopefully yours can go ahead Monday. Best of luck Xx
