Bikini wax and implantation

This is going to sound very trivial but now it’s in my head I can’t get it out. Booked for a bikini wax on Saturday - 8 days post trigger shot for assisted conception. Should I cancel? Will this impact implantation?

Hello I really don’t think it could possibly have any impact. Genuinely. BUT, I remember a nurse once told me ‘follow the path of least regret - chances are nothing (within reason) you do will have an impact , but don’t do anything that will make you beat yourself up if it doesn’t work’.

So if it’s in your head and you’re worried about it, postpone by a couple of weeks just so you don’t drive yourself mad

Thank you! That’s exactly how my mind works haha! But we have an anniversary weekend away coming up that involves a swimming pool so I’m a bit loath to not do it xx

Hello, I agree that I don’t think it could have an impact but I know I’d be/I am the same as you and would be worrying!

I did actually have a wax prior to egg collection or transfer (can’t remember which one) the first time because I was like if they’re going to see everything, I want it at least to look tidy 😂

If the wax is organic which most salons use, and they’re gentle with you then I’d say go for it! We rob ourselves of so much on this journey, we won’t want to take away what makes us feel better! Xx

That’s just it! Don’t want to worry it’s my “fault” if it doesn’t happen but at same time I deserve to be able to put a swim suit on hahha! 😂😂and we are going straight into an ivf cycle after this month so it’s now or never haha xx

Good idea! 5 years! Mostly need the swim suit as our three year old is coming and he can’t wait to hit the pool hahha! Thanks so so much xx
