Help! Need advice going into second cycle

Hi all, not posted much on here before but losing my mind! Had our first round of ivf, got 3 embryos. First one took but I miscarried. Second and third didn't work. Just found out on Friday about third. I'm was on pessaries for transfer and have my doctors appointment on the 6th May. If I stop the pessaries I will come on my period but then don't think I would make this it into this cycle to start the next full injections for egg collection etc and would have to wait a month till the next period. I don't even know if the doctor will make me wait anyway and then I've added time by carrying on with the pessaries. As I'm Nhs I know they are bit weird with timing from day 1 to making it into that cycle. Has anyone had their second cycle and been told they had to wait or could they just go straight from their last period after the transfer? Would really appreciate some help, driving myself a bit mad!

You can’t normally go straight into the next cycle if you’ve been on progesterone, have to have at least that bleed then the next, but nhs can even make you wait for the 3rd bleed (withdrawal bleed then next period, then next period!)

Oh really? That's so grim! I can't stand the waiting between everything, I feel like at least when you're doing injections etc, you are doing something not just waiting! Although saying that I'm not looking for to having the injections and having another egg collection 😭 I don't really get why the bleed after my last FET wouldn't count as a 'normal' period though? Did you have to wait the 3 periods? Orla9298

I did have to wait 3 bleeds (1 withdrawal, then period, then period) between my two nhs ones. But it’s only a 2 month wait. Honestly I totally get how painful the waiting is, but it’s generally needed for a re-set!

Even without progesterone, I did 3 banking rounds, and whenever I tried to go back to back with them, my baseline scan showed a cyst left over from the previous cycle, so I still had to wait. One time we did try to go ahead and the cyst just grew and wasted the drugs, and the eggs didn’t grow, and we had to abandon! It’s so SO hard and I get that but honestly in the long run the rest is needed and it won’t affect your treatment xx

I think it's the not knowing what they will say the next steps are yet as well but thanks for the info on yours, makes me feel a little better there is logic behind it all! Daft I know!
