I’ve had so much cramping today, I’m so worried. It feels just like period pain. Is this normal?

Hey Gem, How are you feeling now?

I’m not sure if it’s normal but I’m also 5 weeks and had lots of “stitches” on my lower right side and back pain too.

Hopefully some of the other ladies can shed some light xxx

I took some paracetamol and spoke to 2 friends who have both been through miscarriages and successful pregnancies. They both said not worry about cramps without bleeding and to do this.... which I’m going to try my best to do. How are you feeling? Do you have a 6 week scan booked in to reassurance? Xx

I spoke to my sister and she also said the same. I think it’s easy to associate completely normal symptoms with negativity because of what we’ve been through. Trying to get some rest now, hopefully tomorrow will be a better day 🤞🏽. My clinic booked my scan for 10th May which is 7 1/2 weeks. I think I might have to book a private one earlier, or at least do some hcg blood tests. Is your scan at 6weeks? Xx

Just after, it’s the 4th May and also feels so far away! Definitely book a sooner scan. Do you have any other symptoms? I haven’t had any apart from last Saturday when I felt lightheaded but I think that was just due to being hungry.

I’ve had sore boobs but that’s on and off really (causing huge panic when it’s off! 🙈), and just really thirsty! I’ve gone from drinking about 1l of water a day to about 3l. Also eating everything in sight but I think that’s comfort eating 😂 hopefully all goes well at our scans! Are you having beta hcg tests before then? Xx

I’m so thirsty too! I’m not having blood tests, just got to wait for my scan and try not to do any more pregnancy tests. Xx

Hi gempuddleduck,Congrats on your pregnancy. I am 5 weeks tomorrow and have my viability scan the same day as you on the 4th May. I've had cramps on and off for about a week now, dizziness and sore boobs. I wish I could just see what was going on inside 🙈.

I had two grade A embryos put back in so I'm really nervous about my scan x x

Congrats to you too lovely! How are you feeling today? I’ve had insomnia the last couple of nights which isn’t fun. Not long now until the 4th, have you got plans to keep yourself busy over the bank holiday? Xx

Hey. I'm feeling ok thank you. I've not had many other symptoms other than sore boobs and tiredness but I remember when I was pregnant with my son that I felt completely normal until about 7/8 weeks and then was nauseous all day every day until about 18 weeks 🙈.I've not got many plans, how about you? The 4th does seem such a long way off 🙈🙈.

How many tests have you done since otd!! X

Oh that’s good then, better to enjoy this time before it begins!I’ve only done 2 tests and the last one was a couple of days ago. I’m tempted to do another but I know if it’s a weaker line or shows up as less weeks etc then it’s only going to really stress me out and then there’s nothing I can do other than go in for a scan to see if the sac is there. I’m just going to hold off and pray for the best. So hard isn’t it but we can do this 🤞🏻🤞🏻Xx

I did 3 tests. 2 on otd as i didn't believe my first test and one 2 days later which was a stronger line. I agree though I will leave it now as what is the point in worrying about it. I can decide if this 2 weeks or the 2ww is worse 🙈.Let me know how you get on x

Hi, I've been having period type aches and also been spotting since last Saturday. My mind is frazzled by all of this. My viability scan was booked for 4th May but they've booked me in for 29th April so they can check embryo implanted in my uterus. I though the 2 WW was bad but this wait is much much worse.

Good luck all, hope all works out xx

Hi Gempuddleduck , congratulations on your pregnancy! I have OHSS which was brought in pregnancy and I have been scanned regularly for that since about week 5, had 4 scans so far. I’ve found it so reassuring at the same time so if it puts your mind at rest then book a scan earlier, it’s better than sitting and stressing about it in my mind.

It’s been amazing seeing how the embryo develops over time and I was lucky to see what resembled a heartbeat just over 6 weeks.

Good luck, you’ll be fine 🥰 xx

Thank you all for your replies! I’m feeling much better today but I have booked in to a hypnotherapist which I’ve done before just to keep me calm. I’ll let you know how it goes! Xx
