Alot of cramps and twinges in the Abdomen after BFP (Fresh Transfer)

Hi there

I have been testing positive since Saturday and the line keeps getting stronger. (OTD is Friday) However the abdominal cramps are also getting stronger. Almost feels like cramps I had immediately after egg collection.

I can especially feel a cramp in the lower left abdomen. I was worried about ectopic pregnancy but the nurse has said its too soon to feel ectopic pains. She said it cud still be the ovaries settling.

Did anyone else feel super bloaty and sharp cramps (slightly different to period cramps ) during the 2 ww?

I got my BFP today and I have been really crampy especially my left side. Had a bit of pain when I move from sitting down to standing up

I think it is just your uterus adjusting and stretching.

I also feel very bloated. Hoping it is all normal x x

Hi Nalana,

I have been testing postive since Monday, my OTD is also on Friday and I am feeling exactly the same as you. Lower back pain and abdominal cramps like period pain. And I also have the sharp pains on the left hand side. Almost feels like it’s my left ovary.

Felling very bloated and also starting to feel a little queasy in the mornings x

Congrats on you BFP too! How are you feeling now? Have the pains subsided or they still there? Mine have reduced quite a bit I do still feel them every now and again.

Yes I’m in 2 week wait and have had a couple sharp cramps on left side not the same as period pains cramps I’m 6 days after transfer so still have another 8 days till test I’m thinking of doing home test on day 10

Hi Nalana. It could be that your ovaries are still a bit active. Make sure you don't get constipated, as poo rubbing past sore ovaries is painful. Drink plenty of water, and keep an eye on your urine output, in case you develop a urinary tract infetion, which often presents on one side. Hope all soon settles. Diane
