I just wondered what people’s thoughts on this are. I’m having a flutter of cramps in my tummy this evening and feel like my period is about to start. That same heavy feeling you get and the urge to eat chocolate.
Has anyone else had similar cramps and gone on to have a successful pregnancy test?
Can my period start before the end of my two week wait?
Thanks

Don’t worry! It’s super normal to have cramps! Cramps usually are a good sign the embryo is getting cozy in the lining.
I’ve heard having cramps is better than not
Based on my experience, and I’m no expert but I know if you’re on progesterone you don’t get a period, that’s why they tell you to get off of it if you have a negative pregnancy test
Thanks for the reply. I’ve just woken up to blood which makes me think it is. I’m so gutted 😞 I heard if it is then I should get progesterone levels looked at in the next cycle
The last day of my 2ww is tomorrow, I had some spotting and period feels (loss of tender breasts too) 6dp5dt, then 9dp5dt I had blood and I am now having a full flow period. I was told to keep on with meds which I did but I made my own decision to stop them on Tuesday this week as I just knew as the same happened in my previous ivf 2ww. Its so sad and hard going isn't it and I am sending you so much love and strength to keep going. I was also told to ask about progesterone levels being checked a couple of days after transfer if we are lucky enough to get any little blasts to transfer. Like you, we didn't have any to freeze. However, my age isn't on my side either.
Thank you so much for this, I am completely gutted. It sounds like you and I are very similar. I took a test early which is coming out negative but will do another Monday but feel this is the end of this cycle. 😢
I totally understand, all the emotions. It's such a rollercoaster. Keep in touch if you like, it's nice to have someone that can relate and vent to, share ups and downs with too.
I'm new to this site too so not sure if you can private message, so please do if you want to.
Thank you so much for being kind, please feel free to contact me too if ever you need to talk to someone going through something similar. I don’t know anyone who has gone through this so this is all very new xx
