Heartbeat

I was pregnant 6 months back, but due to no heartbeat, I had to go for D&C. Now I am 8 weeks pregnant. I consulted my Gynac and she informed me that the growth of Fetus is very slow and there is no heartbeat yet. I am really scared that I should not end up with the same scenario as last year. Any advice?

So sorry you had to go through that. Did you do ivf? If not are you sure about your dates?

No, I didn’t do ivf. However I am sure about the dates because my Gynac controlled my follicle sizes regularly via Gonal injections and asked me to take Ovitrelle injection when my follicles were large enough.

This is so hard, but I was told by a nurse when she could only see a yoke sack at 7 weeks that she has seen healthy pregnancies a week later in that scenario. It didn't happen for me, but it's not over yet! Praying all is well at your next scan. I have my viability scan tomorrow and I'm very nervous.

The important info is the relationship between the size of the fetus and heartbeat. If >7mm length you should see a heartbeat or it mean the baby is not alive unfortunately. Try to get that info. Otherwise you will know in a FU US. Good luck
