Hi, just wanted to ask for people’s opinions, in 2019 my FSH was 8.9 I had another for this last week and it is now 6.9. Can anyone say why this has gone down and is it a good sign? Thank you
FSH : Hi, just wanted to ask for people... - Fertility Network UK
FSH
FSH levels vary day to day and monthly. It also depends on age and day of your menstrual cycle it was taken - usually should be day 2-3.
If it’s 1-10 on those days, then it’s normal. If more than 30, usually signifies peri menopause.
I don’t think 8.9 to 6.9 signifies anything other than natural variation. Both values are normal x
It oscilares so it’s not a significant difference. Good thing is that it is not high. Less than 13 is good. Best
Hi Tilly8135, I have the same thing. My FSH in Jan 2019 was 7.3. In March 2022 I tested it again and it was 3.7. Both tests were done during the follicular phase. My GP has kind of dismissed my case as the number does fall in the normal range. But it is very odd that my FSH has decreased as I age. Also 3.7 sounds too low for my age (42). Have you talked to your GP or your fertility consultant about this? Have you done any further investigation? I am in between cycles so unfortunately I have no consultant to talk to atm...xx
