Coping with nausea

Hello everyone,

I am sure its been posted here a million times before, but I was hoping for some reassurance or advice on chronic nausea.

I've literally had strong symptoms from 4 weeks and each day and week is getting progressively worse. I'm nearly 8 weeks and I'm feeling down about the thought having this for another 4+ weeks. I literally feel nauseous morning noon and night and the only respite I get is when I'm asleep. I'm finding it very debilitating and I'm struggling to work or even leave the house.

I've been prescribed Cyclizine but I'm nervous about taking drugs as I had a miscarriage at 11.5 weeks late last year.

I had acupuncture for nausea yesterday but I don't feel any better.

My question is when did everyone start to feel better?

Also, for those that take Cyclizine have you found it useful?

Thank you in advance wonderful ladies.

It might be worth posting this in NCT as there are a lot more pregnant women on there? Or there was a group for people who had become pregnant post IVF which might have some advice too? x

Hey, sorry to tell you that I had this and was vomiting up until 6/7 months. It was so bad. I worked from home a lot and was sleeping and resting the rest. It’s hard but you can do it.

Oh gosh, you poor thing. Hoping mine doesn't last that long. Thank you for responding.

I don’t want to seem negative. A lot of ladies do get a lot better at 12/13 weeks. I hope you do!

Mine has started to fade around 9/10 weeks. I suppose you’ve already tried eating little and often? And lemon and ginger tea? Really hope you feel better soon x

Thank you, I hope I'm like you. Not actually tried the lemon and ginger (tried ginger and spinach smoothies originally but cannot get it down now), will give that a go. 👍
