Hi .. I received by first official results from my Fertility Specialist today and they told me my first reading was 397 (this is the first time i've ever got to this point, so I'm not 100% sure what that means, but the nurse said anything over 100 is good). I live in Australia, so not sure if it's the same scale across the world.
I am 11dp5dt and all 4 of my POAS at 7dpt, have come back with strong lines.
My concern is, from shortly after my transfer, I have been experiencing one side pain around my ovary (like a burning feeling, off and on), and sometimes one side back and leg pain, on the left side too. After researching this, ectopic pregnancy came up. When I mentioned the pain to the nurse and asked if it was normal, she said it can be. I went onto say that I had read it could be ectopic, to which she replied "I thought that, but didn't want to scare you".
Most of what I've read, seems to indicate that ectopic pain sets on a bit later, but I guess there is no one hard fast rule for all.
As I did IVF, it's not a corpus luteum cyst.
Has anyone had a similar experience and what was the outcome?
Many thanks

I’ve had 2 ectopics- both ruptured and I nearly died/lost both my tubes. The second one was following an IVF transfer
The best way to describe the initial pain - around 6 weeks - was a niggling pain at first - very much one sided - If you draw a horizontal line through your belly button towards your hip? This was then followed by a clamping like pain which then increased to a pain like someone has their tube in their hands and is physically trying to rip it from your body (I’ve had several miscarriages before but ectopic pain is like nothing I’d ever experienced) - it’s a writhing, can’t stand or walk or even talk kind of pain
My hcg both times were at normal levels and doubling or more every 48 hours but both mine had heartbeats which is very rare for an ectopic
Hello there, I just wanted to reassure you that I experienced the same symptoms after transfer and during implantation. You look online and the information leads towards ectopic so I, like you, was really worried. And there is not much information on women feeling strong implantation pains on one side, its usually felt in the middle. My IVF clinic said the same, that its too early to feel ectopic, its normally from about 6 weeks that you would notice any symptoms. Anyway, scan confirmed everything was okay and I'm nearly 8 weeks now. Keep on eye on it, but if your symptoms have stopped I don't think there is anything to worry about. Good luck 😁
I must admit I didn't get any leg aches, just backache occasionally. If you are worried I would mention it to your clinic and they may get you in for a early scan. Mine offered me that option. All the best lovely 🙂
Hi love. I just wanted to share with you that my ectopic pregnancy last year started with a bleed at 5 weeks, on off cramps. I didn’t have any pain in the legs. The cramps were actually OK (manageable) and on both sides. Then only at 7 weeks+ (the day before we scan for heartbeat), the cramps were focused on my left side, and it just got worse, I became breathless and I couldn’t walk. I was sent to emergency. By then the baby had grown pretty large in my left tube so they had to do an emergency operation.
Don’t worry too much okay? Have faith that all will be okay 💕
