My wife went for a amh test and a scan this week, ready for her 2nd egg collection at the end of April. They mentioned she had around 15 follicles on each ovary. (Around 30 in total) does that seem like a good number or is that the normal average amount
Hope someone can help 🥰

I think that’s quite a lot, I had around 32 but have polycystic ovaries. During egg collection I had 27 eggs collected but around half of the were mature.
My nurse once said on average you have about 8 each side!
So fingers crossed for you lots of potential there 🤞🏽
Aww really..she said the same and said she wonders if she has polystic ovaries. After many internal ultra sounds no one has picked if she has it and her period is like clockwork.. Unless she just has a high number
That's great!! I actually only have 7 between the two. That's extremely low. So we are doing fertility treatments and IVF. Best of luck to you and your wife!
I also have a lot of follicles and they said to I have poly cystic looking ovaries but I have no other symptoms at all. My 1st ivf I got 15 eggs and my 2nd I got 25 eggs which resulted in my now 3 year old daughter. I only had 1-2 embryos from all those eggs as a lot were not mature enough but it only took the one, good luck 🤞
I had a call off the Dr this morning and they also said she has polystic looking ovaries but she has no other symptoms. They wouldn't have mentioned that to her if she didn't ask dx
