We used a clinic in Brno, Czech Republic for donor eggs. We miscarried first round but went back for a second and are pregnant with twins.

Sometimes staff can seem a little abrupt but I think that's a cultural difference. Overall, I have found the clinic really knowledgeable and not pushy whatsoever. My partner was really apprehensive about going overseas but felt at ease after we had been to the clinic for the first time.

How much did the procedure cost ?

It's just under €5000. Then you need to pay for your travel, accommodation and medication for you in top.

That is for donor eggs. Own eggs is significantly cheaper but I am not sure how much.

I did ICSI in Greece twice.

Pros if you can take time off work and do the whole cycle there feels a bit like a holiday and you are more relaxed

I wanted to try something different after 2 failed transfers so that might make a difference

Cost including travel and accommodation cheaper or same price as in London

It worked and I had a son

Cons

Bit stressful organising everything

Didn't understand language or read anything in supermarket

Only few people at clinic spoke good English so communication about medication/ process at times difficult

Greece more laid back and they tell you procedure as go along whereas at Guys hospital more organised and clear on process

Did when round start last Mat. Was lot more stressful cos of covid and had to freeze and come home

Which clinic did you visit ? I did icsi in the UK and it was so stressful . Trying to fit in the procedure and fitting in work and daily life to life activities.

Was your procedure successful? Did you use your own eggs and sperm ?? Thank you for your input

I used embryogenesis in Athens. Yes it worked I have a 2yr old son now. I used my own eggs and partners sperm. I have a 3wk old baby girl from a cycle at Lister clinic. I went to Greece again last March and froze 1 embryo. I wanted to go back the next month and transfer like I did with my son but couldn't due to covid. So as soon as clinics reopened in UK I tried with Lister and it worked! So there is not set formula for success so many factors, luck, catching that good egg, maybe with my son trying something different.

Hi you can read my posts . I had amazing ivf service in athens and I had success after 6 failed cycles at uk and spain. This happened 3 years ago. After this i sent a lot of friends i knew they struggling with infertility and they had success with them! Only amazing reviews everywhere about this clinic.
