Hi, I so confused as to whether I have pcos or just pco. They say if you have three symptoms you have pcos. I suffer from excess hair in the wrong places and bad skin. However my period are like clockwork each month. What I want to know is more I’m I releasing an egg if I have a regular period and do I have the syndrome. In essence will I be able to conceive. Thankyou.

Regular periods and PCOS
Hi I have pcos, have bad skin, excess hair but no real weight issues and periods like clockwork. I think for my diagnosis was although I have a regular cycle blood tests showed I didn’t ovulate, and a scan showed up multiple cysts. I had the day 21 test done a few times.
Hope this helps 😊
Hey 👋🏻 I was diagnosed with PCO when I started fertility treatment. I have regular periods and hormonal acne xx
I'm the same as you! I have regular periods, no real issues with weight gain and always had bad skin. When my husband and I start trying I had no idea I had PCOS. I found out with the initial investigations. They said I can still get pregnant and I have heard success stories! I'm currently undergoing IVF because it was discovered that my husband has low sperm.
I have PCOS, the textbook one. I have the 3 "requirements", high AMH, etc. plus i haven't had a natural period since I am 15 (i used to do 5 to 10 hours of excersise per week and i was on my ideal weight, i ate healthy... and then full on PCOS appeared anyways... so that part of: it is lifestyle, at least for me, is a lie). There are women that can have periods and still have PCOS (some of my aunts and cousins have this), some of them can be anovulatory (with or without periods) and some not. Maybe it would be a good idea to go to a gynecologist for a blood test (to measure your AMH that can be high with PCOS and your androgens, your FSH, LH, prolactin, etc. Then you will get all the information). Usually you just need 2 symptoms to be diagnosed with PCOS. Many women with PCOS have no problems to conceive (some of them are prone to have twins). But the best way to know how PCOS affects you is by running tests. Best of luck!
